What is the difference between GPA, SGPA, and CGPA?

Is CGPA the simple average of all my SGPAs?

For example, if Semester 1 had 15 credits with a 3.5 GPA and Semester 2 had 18 credits with a 3.8 GPA, your CGPA = (15 × 3.5 + 18 × 3.8) ÷ (15 + 18) = 3.66 — not simply (3.5 + 3.8) ÷ 2 = 3.65.
How do I calculate my overall CGPA?
To calculate your overall CGPA: 1) For each course, multiply its credit hours by the grade point earned. 2) Sum all these weighted grade points for the semester to get your semester total. 3) Divide the semester total by total credit hours to get that semester's GPA. 4) Repeat for all semesters. 5) Finally, sum all semester grade point totals and divide by the grand total of all credit hours. How can I convert my CGPA to a percentage?
The conversion formula depends on your university or grading board. In Bangladesh (UGC/NU), the formula is: Percentage = CGPA × 25. In India (CBSE/UGC), it is: Percentage = CGPA × 9.5. For Anna University and many Indian engineering colleges: Percentage = CGPA × 10. Some universities like VTU use: Percentage = (CGPA - 0.75) × 10. What is a "good" CGPA?
A 'good' CGPA depends on your grading scale and goals. On the US 4.0 scale: 3.7+ is excellent (Dean's List range), 3.0–3.69 is good, 2.5–2.99 is average. Can my CGPA decrease even if I get decent grades later?
